Founded in 2014, the McGill Students’ Trading Society has grown to become McGill University’s largest economics and finance student group.

The McGill Students Trading Society (MSTS) looks to raise awareness on stock market facts, investment strategies, and healthy investment mentalities. By building a platform that allows students to exchange relevant opinions about finance, network with current professionals, and participate in real-life based simulations, we hope to prepare students to navigate the stock market.

Building on the success of last year’s events, ranging from our annual stock simulation (where the winner received tickets to the prestigious Mergers and Acquisitions Club Annual Gala), to hosting a VP and Investment Advisor from TD Wealth, to our Clash of the Professors debate, the MSTS is looking forward to another great year with our members.

Executive Team

Michael Nnamchi (CEO):

Nigerian and Canadian, Michael was born and raised in Singapore before going to Montreal for his studies. He most recently worked as an analyst in Technology and Operations at BMO Financial Group, and has previous experience as an M&A analyst at a local boutique firm. When he is not studying, Michael likes to play new songs on the piano and the ukulele, as well as snowboard and religiously manage his Fantasy Premier League team. A passionate teacher, Michael believes in presenting complex ideas with simplicity, and looks forward to meeting the new faces of MSTS.
